Parade Information
Bike Brigade
Bikes do not need to register prior to the day of. All Bikes report to the large parking lot (closest to Radnor Road) at St. Anastasia’s Church, between 9:00 and 9:45am. Report to the registration table and get your instructions. Bikes are judged ON SITE. Listen for instructions, and wait to be entered into the parade. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED.
All Hand Drawn Floats, Wagons and Strollers (no motorized vehicles) report to the large parking lot (closest to Radnor Road) at St. Anastasia School, between 9:00 and 9:45am. Go to the registration table to register, receive your number, and instructions to be judged. This category is for individuals and family units only - No Organizations. NO GO-CARTS OR MOTORIZED “TOY CARS".
Parade Entries
Antique Cars
Antique cars do not have to register prior to the parade and will not be judged. Please arrive at St. Albans Circle between 8:30 and 9:30. Place a sign with car make and model on right side of your vehicle.
Floats, Marching Groups, and Costumed Individuals
Beginning June 3 all Floats (Large, Medium, Small & Commercial), Costumed Individuals and Marching Groups can register in advance by visiting www.mnrecreation.myrec.com. Simply complete the online form by June 27 and your parade number will be mailed to the address submitted. On June 28 and July 1 through July 3, registration can be done in person from 8:30am to 3:30pm at the Marple Newtown Recreation office. Day of parade registration can be done on Thursday, July 4th from 8:30am to 9:30am at St. Alban’s Circle.
Participant Info
Secure your number on the PASSENGER’S SIDE FRONT WINDSHIELD of your float or vehicle or on the FRONT RIGHT HAND SIDE of the lead person in your group. It must be distinguishable as you pass in front of the judge’s stand.
Entries (floats/groups) are encouraged to provide some type of signage (banner, etc.) to help the public identify you as you move along the parade route. ALL ENTRIES AND SIGNAGE MUST BE FAMILY FRIENDLY. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE ANY SIGNAGE
CONSIDERED INAPPROPRIATE.
